Nanyang is a famous national historical and cultural city, the land where Dayu sealed the country, the capital of Xia Dynasty, the birthplace of Xia Dynasty and the foundation of Chinese civilization. The South-to-North Water Transfer Project originated in Xichuan, Nanyang. Xichuan, Nanyang is the location and core water source area of Taocha canal head project in the middle route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, the largest water transfer project in the world.
