Chengshantou has beautiful scenery, especially suitable for watching the sunrise at sea, and is also known as "the Cape of Good Hope in China". During the worship of gods in ancient times, it was considered to be the place where the gods lived on immortal days. According to historical records, when Jiang Taigong sealed Ba Shen, the sun god was the first in the East. He once worshipped the sun god at Chengshantou to welcome the sunrise and built the main temple of the sun.
Qin Shihuang, who once looked forward to the future, came to Chengshantou, Xixiakou, Weihai. He saw that it was surrounded by the sea on three sides, only the land behind him, and lamented that it was "the ends of the earth". Qin Shihuang worshipped the Japanese Lord here, leaving behind historical sites such as "Qin Bridge Relics". Qin Shihuang also built a palace in Chengshantou, which was later called the "Temple of the First Emperor". However, in the Ming Dynasty, the Shihuang Temple was swallowed up by the fire, and it was not until the Daoguang period that the palace was repaired.
It is said that Qin Shihuang died on his way back to the mountain on the second eastward tour, so there are also rumors among the people that the sky is at the end, and the son of heaven is at the end. Later, it was circulated that some officials returned to Chengshantou and broke their official career, adding a trace of superstition to Chengshantou. Many people dare not come to Chengshantou to enjoy the beautiful scenery here, wasting this scenic spot with the title of 4A.
