Nanyue Kundao College is located in Nanyue District, Hengyang City, an important national transportation hub, a central and southern town and a famous historical and cultural city. It is a three-year junior college approved by the State Bureau of Religious Affairs. It is the only institution of higher learning in China to train Kundao (female Taoist) talents and the only Taoist institution of higher learning in Hunan. Organized by Nanyue Taoist Association and Nanyue Temple Taoist Group.

The college enrolls students for the whole country, aiming at cultivating high-quality talents of Kundao who are "patriotic, loving teaching, deeply believing in piety and paying equal attention to learning and training".
