Why was the ancient city destroyed? What is the reason?
In the second year of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (AD 580), Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty, a duke and prime minister of Sui Dynasty, suppressed Wei Chijiong, the general manager of Xiangzhou (Yecheng) who was dissatisfied with himself. In order to prevent the resurgence of anti-Yang forces in Hebei, Yecheng was ordered to burn down and become ruins for generations. Xiangzhou, Wei Jun, Yexian and most residents moved south to Anyang, and Lingzhi County was established in the former site of Yecheng.

At this time, Anyang replaced Yecheng as the political, economic and cultural center of this region. The land of the former old Ye County was included in Anyang County, which was renamed Ye County.

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Qi Huangong built Yecheng, which is the name of this city. During the Warring States Period, it belonged to Wei, and there was a story that Ximen Bao was ordered to rule its power. According to the word "Ye Ling (Yexian Mausoleum)", Yexian County may have been established at this time. Today, Ximen Bao Temple is located in Anyang County, Henan Province.

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yuan Shao took Yecheng as his base, so he became the ruler of Jizhou. In the 18th year of Jian 'an (2 13), Cao Cao took his own name as Wang Wei, with its capital as Wei. Cao Cao built a wild north city because of the old city, which is seven miles east and west, five miles north and south, and faces Linzhang water in the north. In the northwest corner of the city, there are three stations (namely Tongquetai) from north to south: Bingjing Station, Tongquetai Station and Hujin Station. The site is located in Santai Village, Linzhang County.

Cao Pi usurped the Han Dynasty and moved the capital to Luoyang City. Ye is still under the rule of Wei Jun, and its foundation is regarded as one of the five capitals of Cao Wei.

The Western Jin Dynasty followed the old system of Cao Wei, and later avoided the taboo of Sima Ye, the Emperor of Jin Dynasty. In 3 14, it was renamed Linzhang County. In the first year of Xiankang (335), Shi Jilong moved the capital and renamed it Ye County.

During the Sixteen Kingdoms period, the post-Zhao, Zhao and Zhao all established their capitals here.

The Eastern Wei Dynasty was established with its capital here, and Sizhou was established, and Weixian was changed to Yin Wei. In addition, Yan 'an urban construction is located on the south bank of Guzhangshui, with a scale of six miles from east to west and eight miles from north to south, which is bigger than that of the north city. Now its city site has been flooded. In the early years of Tian Ping in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (AD 534), Dangyin County and Anyang County were classified as Ye County. From then on, Anyang County was merged into Yexian County until 590 (Anyang County moved), a total of 56 years.

After the Northern Qi Dynasty replaced the Wei Dynasty, it was still the capital, and it was changed to the Qing capital Yin, relying on three counties: Linzhang and Cheng 'an. The prosperity of Yecheng is the best at this point. At this time, Yecheng is the most prosperous capital, with the essence of the world.

The Northern Zhou Dynasty destroyed Qi, changed Sizhou to Xiangzhou, and the Qing capital Yin to Wei County. Linzhang and Cheng 'an counties moved out of Yecheng, and Yecheng was still ruled by Xiangzhou Prefecture and Weixian County.

In the second year of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (580), Wei Chijiong failed to resist Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty, and the ancient yecheng was burned.
