Successively Lianzhou secretariat, doctor of rites, Suzhou secretariat. Representative works include Humble Room Inscription, Zhi Zhu Ci, Tian Lun and so on.

2. Liu Yuxi was born in the seventh year of Dali. His grandfather and father are both small bureaucrats. However, because the reform violated the interests of eunuchs and big bureaucrats, it soon failed. After Shunzong was forced to give way, Liu Yuxi, Liu Zongyuan and other eight people were also demoted to distant Sima, which is the famous "Eight Sima Incident" in history.
