[1] Terran (or Terran, Tran): The original English word is Terran, which means people from the earth and the colonies of people from the earth on other planets in space. In the original story of StarCraft, all terrans in the original game were criminals exiled by the earth. They came to the other side of the universe in four huge immigrant ships, which means they are not authentic "earthlings". In the whole game series, the only humans from the earth are Gerard Dugard and his earth UED fleet. In the background setting of StarCraft (that is, single-player game), the influence of Terran is not as good as that of Zerg or Protoss, mainly because the scale of human narrative in the story is much smaller than that of the other two races.
