The earliest iron in ancient times
Stones, patches and pottery, copper.

At first, the iron was made of stone, pottery, copper and iron sheet. They are heated on the fire and then pressed against the clothes to flatten them. There are two explanations about the origin of the name "Tie" in ancient Chinese. One is to take the meaning of Beidou, and the other is that the shape of iron is very similar to the ancient cooker "bucket". According to research, China's ancient iron was invented earlier than the western electric iron in 1880, and it was the first country to invent and use iron in the world.

Feature description

The ironware in Ming and Qing Dynasties followed the shape of Song and Yuan Dynasties, but the mouth edge near the handle was raised a little to better prevent the embers from falling out. The hollow short handle is inserted into the wooden handle (Figure 3). Some ironware is decorated with longevity patterns, which are both practical and decorative. During the Republic of China, the iron changed from a bowl to a triangle and was closed (Figure 4). At this time, ceramic irons, alcohol irons, hot water irons, etc. appeared, and the types were very rich.
