First of all, we must understand the history of South Korea: the Korean Peninsula has always been a unified nation, although there have been three rebellions, that is, the entire peninsula is three countries, just like China in ancient times, such as the Song Dynasty, in addition to the Song Dynasty, there are Liao, Jin, Xixia, Tubo, Dali and so on. In fact, there were also Xinjiang and Vietnam. Due to the reasons of the United States and the Soviet Union, North Korea basically split into two parts after World War II (in fact, China did not want to recognize South Korea, but due to economic and international conditions, China only recognized South Korea at 1992, when Foreign Minister * * directly told Kim Jong Il by helicopter). Due to the historical reasons of South Korea, the "atrocities" of American soldiers in South Korea and South Korea's determination to strive for self-improvement, most Koreans feel that the people of China are friendly and self-reliant. Considering the above reasons, the China government has established good relations with the ROK. First, it has contained Japan and the United States. Second, the Korean economy (world GDP ranking 12) can play a certain role in China internationally. Third, through good relations with South Korea, we finally hope that the peninsula will be unified and we can mediate on both sides. This is different from the relationship between the mainland and Taiwan Province Province (the difference is too great), and it is very close to the relationship before East and West Germany.
Generally speaking, although the relationship between China and South Korea can't be like that of the ancient monarchy, it is still good on the whole, without too much hypocrisy and power.
