Tessar structure lens, Tessar is a classic asymmetric lens structure, with simple structure and very high resolution in the center, but the resolution around it drops sharply, and there is focal drift under different apertures. This lens can take very good photos in a small aperture, but it has poor imaging in a large aperture.
I have used two 205s, namely Phoenix 205B (Phoenix 205 and Seagull 205 are the same door, with the same structure but different manufacturers) and Seagull 205, and the films taken by the two cameras are similar. The quality of the patched small landscape is good, but the overall resolution is low, so it is difficult to zoom in and look closely, and it is difficult to create a blur effect with a large aperture and a shallow depth of field. In addition, paraxial shooting has focal parallax, which takes some time to master shooting skills.
Generally speaking, as a witness of the development of camera industry in China, this camera is memorable, but it is of little use for taking pictures.
