It is a temple in the Xijiang River Valley, which is as famous as Long Mu Temple in Yuecheng, Guangdong and Long Mu Temple in Wuzhou, Guangxi. Shengxi Village, located under Xijiang Bridge in tengxian, Guangxi, can reach the county seat through Nanning-Wuzhou second-class highway. This is the birthplace of the legendary ancient Xijiang River basin to protect the dragon mother.
The Northern Song Dynasty Taiping Guangji recorded the location of Long Mu Temple in tengxian. Destroyed by the Cultural Revolution, 1994 was rebuilt by the people. At present, there are the seal of the Dragon Mother Temple, the snake-body lion-faced beast, the Lotus Pier and the incense burner engraved with the word "Dragon Mother". Tengxian is one of the birthplaces of Xijiang culture, and the stories and legends about the Dragon Mother believed by people in Xijiang River basin and even in Southeast Asia are recorded in the Records of tengxian.
Every year on the first day of August and the fifth day of August in the lunar calendar, believers will hold ceremonies to worship at the Dragon Mother Temple. On the eve of "Dragon Mother's Birthday", tengxian civil society sent four totally clean women to the Dragon Mother Temple in Yuecheng, Deqing, Guangdong, where the Dragon Mother grew up, to change clothes and take a bath for the Dragon Mother. The ceremony is mysterious. The local people admire the dragon mother for "benefiting the world", contributing to the country and being virtuous for the people.
