On June 6th, 2009, China Mining Association organized experts to comment on Shiqian County's declaration of "the hometown of mineral water in China", and unanimously passed and awarded Shiqian County the title of "the hometown of mineral water in China", making Shiqian the fifth in China and the first "the hometown of mineral water in China" in Guizhou. Shiqian is rich in natural mineral water resources and has a long history. Hot mineral water resources have been developed and utilized since the Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 400 years. Natural exposure of hot mineral water in Shiqian is rare in China. Nine out of eight towns in the county/kloc-0 have natural mineral water exposure points, and the total flow at 20 places at 36: 00 is 2233 1 ton/day. Shiqian natural mineral water has moderate water temperature (27-55℃) and excellent water quality. Lithium, strontium, zinc, selenium, radon, metasilicic acid, etc. It is an indispensable beneficial component of human body and has a good medical and health care function.
In February, 2009, Shiqian was named as the "Hometown of Hot Springs in China" by China Mining Association. Shiqian County applied to China Mining Association to be named "the hometown of mineral water in China". From September 20 to 22, experts from the investigation team went to Shiqian to inspect the local resources, development and utilization status, economic benefits, development planning, protection and management, etc.
Shiqian County will make full use of the brand advantages of "the hometown of hot springs in China" and "the hometown of mineral water in China" to enlarge and strengthen the mineral water industry and promote hot spring tourism, leisure, vacation and recuperation.
