Who wrote the first book describing Arabs and Islam in China history?
Liu Yu The Journey to the West is a book written by Liu Yu, an Islamic scholar in China, when he was sent to Annan (now) in the third year of Yuan Shundi Zheng Zheng (1343), with a total of five volumes. The book records in detail the cultural exchanges between Yuan Dynasty and Annan, as well as Annan's religion, history and geography. The Journey to the West is of great reference value to the study of Chinese Islamic history. Therefore, it can be said that Liu Yu is the first person to describe the history of Arabs, Islam and cultural exchanges between the East and the West in the history of China. This book is incomplete, and now there are only two books, Volume I and Volume II.
