Historical evolution of Yandang Mountain: Yandang Mountain, also known as Yandang Mountain and Yanshan Mountain. Because there is a lake on the top of the mountain, the reeds are dense and the grass is swaying, and the autumn geese in the south stay here, so it is named Yandang. In the Southern Dynasties, Liang Guozhao and ming prince built a temple and tower under Furong Peak, which was the beginning of Yandang Mountain. During the Tang Dynasty, Nuoluanna, a monk from the western regions, admired the reputation of Yandang Mountain as a "flower village and bird mountain" and led 300 disciples to Yandang Mountain to preach Buddhism. He is regarded as the originator of Yandang Mountain.

In the Song Dynasty, the development scale of Yandang Mountain gradually increased, with 18 temples, 10 courtyards and 16 pavilions, which was the heyday of its development. In 2004, Yandang Mountain was rated as a national geological park, including Lingfeng, Sanzhe Waterfall, Lingyan, Dalong Waterfall, West Liang Shi Cave of Yanhu Lake, Xianshengmen Scenic Area, Xianqiao-Longhu Lake, Yangjiao Cave, Fangshan, Dongyu Cave and nanxi river.
