History of Yuquan Primary School in Haidian District, Beijing
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Marshal Luo Ronghuan was ordered to form the Political College of China People's Liberation Army (now National Defense University). In order to solve the problem of enrollment of instructors' children, 1960, a children's primary school was established in the Political College of the People's Liberation Army (now the Second Hospital of National Defense University). The first president was Gao Feng, and Marshal Luo Ronghuan was the honorary president. According to the order of Marshal He Long, the School of Political Science 1967 Children's Primary School was placed under the direct management of the education department of Haidian District, Beijing, and was renamed Yuquan Primary School in Haidian District, Beijing, and moved from National Defense University to No.35 Jingouhe Road (that is, the current address). In the same year, the primary school affiliated to China University of Science and Technology was merged into Yuquan Primary School (during the Cultural Revolution, China University of Science and Technology moved to Hefei, Anhui Province, and the original site is now the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of High Energy Physics). In 2006, according to the school layout adjustment plan of Haidian District Education Committee, the original Jingouhe Primary School and the original Caishilu Primary School merged into Yuquan Primary School, forming a pattern of one school and three sites (school, branch school and new school to be built).
