Cangzhou iron lion is a special "clay fan open casting method" adopted by the ancients, and it is cast in stages. The iron lion has a smooth abdomen, and the outside is composed of blocks ranging in length and width from 30 cm to 40 cm. In 2009, due to the age of the old "Cangzhou Iron Lion" and serious damage, in order to rescue and protect the Cangzhou Iron Lion, the Cangzhou Municipal Government decided to recast the Cangzhou Iron Lion and continue its majestic posture. The new "Cangzhou Iron Lion" imitates the original "Cangzhou Iron Lion", repairs the damaged chin, tail and other parts of the original Cangzhou Iron Lion, and integrates the creation of contemporary artists on the basis of respecting the original appearance, and is donated and cast by Cangzhou Sudong Group.
