The History of China in Cambridge is an authoritative work on the history of China abroad, which has great influence in the world. It was published by Cambridge University Press, with Fei Zhengqing and Denis Twitchett as editors. The book is divided into 15 volumes and 17 volumes (Volumes 5 and 9 are divided into two volumes). At present, it has been published in volume 13. China Social Sciences Publishing House has translated and published 1 1 book.
The History of China in Cambridge is a history of China written entirely by western scholars. It follows the rigorous style that western sinology studies have always adhered to, widely quotes documents and materials, and pays attention to the identification and textual research of documents. Due to the historical and cultural differences between the East and the West, the book puts forward new views and questions on many historical issues, and perhaps some issues have long been taken for granted and have never been considered. All these things from another world outlook and values will greatly enrich our thoughts and broaden our horizons.
