In 536 BC, the son of Zheng was equivalent to Prime Minister Zheng. For the first time, he cast the legal provisions on the iron tripod and announced them to the whole society, which is known in history as "the law of casting torture books" This is the first time in the history of China that a written law has been published. Later, Dr. Deng Zhi integrated Zheng's laws and regulations and carved them on bamboo slips, which was called "bamboo punishment".

His Bamboo Punishment is a private work, which was later accepted by the rulers and became a formal law.
