1886, John Feng Anze the Baptist planned to move the cathedral to Fucheng, Yanzhou, which met with fierce opposition from local gentry. It was not until 1 1 years later that Yanzhou Catholic Church was built after the religious planning of Cao Zhou in 1897.
By 1899, a magnificent Gothic cathedral, the Bishop's Cathedral of Yanzhou Holy Spirit, had been built in the southwest of Yanzhou, and the Catholic Church had also moved from Yanggu village to Yanzhou Fucheng. The complex is huge, covering an area of 83,646.2 square meters. With a length of 53m, a width of 18m and a height of 2 1m, it is one of the few cathedrals in China.

1885 65438+ In February, when Yanzhou Parish was established, its missionary scope included Yanzhou, Yizhou, Caozhou and Jining Zhili in the southern half of Shandong Province, with an area of over 70,000 square kilometers and a population of nearly 10 million. It is called the pastoral area in the south of Shandong Province, and its first teaching assistant is the German evangelist John the Baptist von Anze. The Anglican Church is located in Polly Village.
By 1889, the Gothic Cathedral was built in Polizhuang, and by 1909, a large-scale building complex consisting of eight Western-style buildings, such as the Cathedral (which can accommodate thousands of people), the Friar's Building, the Nursery and the Monastery, was built, with five three-story bunker buildings and 149 two-story buildings, and the outer ring was a brick wall.
