Linjiang Street, formerly known as Linjiang Neighborhood Committee, was established in 1950 when democracy was founded. 1955, changed to sub-district office; 1960 was renamed Linjiang people's commune; In l968, it was changed to Chaoyang Street Revolutionary Committee during the Cultural Revolution; 1978, renamed Linjiang Sub-district Office.
Linjiang Street is located on the south bank of Minjiang River, and has jurisdiction over 8 community neighborhood committees, with a total area of 1.06 square kilometers and a total population of more than 23,000.
