In August, 20001year, the administrative area of Wuchang Township was merged into Xianlin Town, and at the same time, Wuchang Economic Development Zone was established separately, which governed the village of 16, and the administration was relatively independent.

In June 2003, the Wuchang Management Committee was established, and the village scale was adjusted in the same year, and the number of villages was reduced to seven.

In September 2006, the village-level joint-stock economic reform was fully completed, realizing the transformation from villagers to shareholders, and the Yanshan River Community was established by listing. By the end of 2007, six communities had been established. At the end of 2007, in order to speed up the urbanization process of Wuchang, realize the seamless connection with the main city of Hangzhou, and then promote the overall development of Yuhang Group, the Committee was merged and the streets were built. Wuchang Street was established with the approval of the Sixth Session of the 13th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC). Six communities of Yanshan River, Hengbanqiao, Gujiaqiao, Jingfeng, Jingshan and Wen Yi in Xianlin Town, and two organic villages of Friendship and Wuchang and Yongfu Village under Zangqian Town merged to form Wuchang Street, with a permanent population of 2 1 359 and an area of 22.75438+0 square kilometers.
