Assist judgment

The first judgment point of this definition is that the time of assist is defined as the live ball stage, and the concept is the time when the ball leaves the hands of the ball holder, and the clock of the stadium is running. This defines the minimum range of assists: the assisting player is in bounds. Suppose a player serves outside the sideline, and the teammate who receives the ball scores directly, and the server does not count the number of assists, because the clock moves from the time when the first player in the line touches the ball, and the clock is stationary when the server outside the sideline touches the ball, so the statistics of assists are invalid;

The second key to judging assists is to pass the ball to help teammates score directly. This direct score includes three definitions:

First, the scoring player gets the ball from which player, and the passing player calculates the assists, not counting other players involved in passing the ball;

Secondly, direct scoring is defined as a series of scoring actions after the scoring player gets the ball, which means that he gets the chance to score because of the ball, but does not include the penalty score after receiving the foul;

Third, direct scoring refers to shooting or layup, excluding the second attack after the scorer gets the rebound.
