The predecessor of Guge dynasty can be traced back to Xiangxiong country. This dynasty was founded in the 9th century, after the collapse of the Tubo dynasty that unified the Tibetan Plateau. By the end of 17, there were 16 kings. It was a regime established by the descendants of the Tubo royal family in West Tubo Ali, covering the whole territory of Ali in its heyday. It is not only a continuation of the Tubo lineage, but also makes Buddhism find a foothold again after the disintegration of Tubo and gradually reach its peak. Therefore, the Guge dynasty is of great significance in Tibetan history.
During the last Zam planta Ma period of Tubo Dynasty, Buddha statues and temples were destroyed, and many asylum monks fled far from Ali. Located in the western border of Ali, influenced by big food and India, it is also the birthplace of Bonism, so it has become a gathering place of various ideas and forces. In 843 AD, Rondama was assassinated by a monk and the civil war broke out. Four years later, Shu Ren rose and the Tubo Dynasty perished. Since then, seven kingdoms, large and small, have emerged, and Tibet has long been in a situation of vassal separatism.
