These two letters are: the first is a thank-you letter written by Liu Tang to Song Jiang after Chao Gai and others went to Liangshan; The second letter, written in order to save Jiangzhou Sung River, Liangshan made people forge Cai Jing's letter to his son Cai Jiu's home "Xie Sung River went to Beijing".
These two letters are both from Liangshan, and they are all made according to Wu Yong's will. Some people think that these two letters are actually two bombs, which are probably deliberately placed by Wu Yong. The purpose is to let Song Jiang go to Liangshan-let Liu Tang send a letter to Song Jiang to expose his collusion with Liangshan; Deliberately using the wrong seal of Cai Jing made Song Jiang's sin unforgivable, and he was beheaded. Liangshan robbed Jiangzhou and made things big, which made Song Jiang helpless in Liangshan.
Is this view correct or not? Let's analyze some details in the book.
Let's look at Liu Tang sending a thank-you note to Song Jiang from Liangshan.
Classical went to Liangshan, remembering that Song Jiang tipped them off and saved their lives. He consulted with Wu Yong and sent someone to thank Song Jiang. Wu Yong said, "Don't worry, brother. I have my own plan. Song is a benevolent man. He doesn't expect anything from us. Even so, politeness is indispensable. If you are rude to the cottage sooner or later, you must use your brothers to go. "
Therefore, Wu Yong started with one hand. After that, he really sent someone to thank Song Jiang. Who sent it? Liu Tang. Mr. Ma Youyuan, a great scholar, thinks that sending Liu Tang to do this is inherently malicious. As we know, Liu Tang's nickname is Red Hair Ghost, "There is a touch of cinnabar on his temple with a black and yellow hair on it"-such an unusual appearance can easily attract people's attention and be remembered by people.
This reminds me that when Wu Yongzhi earned Lu Junyi, he also brought an unusual-looking person (Li Kui jy). But that's to attract attention, disturb Lu Junyi, strike up a conversation with him and make a plan.
It should be very low-key to send someone to secretly see Song Jiang this time, but Wu Yong not only sent attractive people, but also Liu Tang's words and deeds after he arrived in Yuncheng were unconventional and very suspicious.
The book says: "Song Jiang came out of the county and sat down to have tea in the opposite room. He saw a big man ... walking in sweat and rain, short of breath, and turned away from the county. Song Jiang saw that the big fellow had gone fishy, so he quickly got up and kicked out the waiter and followed Han. After about thirty or twenty steps, Han turned around and looked at Song Jiang, but he didn't recognize him. ..... This Han met Song Jiang once, and some recognized him. He stood still and stared at Song Jiang, but he was afraid to ask. ..... I saw Han go to a grate shop on the side of the road and ask, Brother, who is the escort in front? This is what Song said. Grate was waiting to be summoned. Han came to see Liu Bei with a ju and sang, "Do you know my brother? "
Look at this description, "Don't turn your face to see that county", such a move, even Song Jiang feels strange. Looking back at Song Jiang, I stopped and looked at Song Jiang intently. I went to the grate shop on the side of the road to ask about it. I heard that it was Song Jiang, and when he walked up to him, he sang a big song ... Liu Tang's action was not low-key, and he was suspected of being aggressive and deliberately conspicuous.
In addition, Song Jiangceng sent a letter to the classical village to meet Wu Yong, Gongsun Sheng, Liu Tang and others in a hurry. At that time, he was in a hurry, and may not remember Liu Tang, but when Liu Tang saw Classical, he solemnly led people to show them, which should be impressive. The book says that Liu Tang "saw Song Jiang but didn't know him" after he arrived in Yuncheng, which is also somewhat suspicious.
Besides, if Liu Tang really doesn't remember Song Jiang's appearance, it makes sense for Wu Yong to send him anyway.
These details make people vaguely feel that Liu Tang's trip to Yuncheng is not as simple as sending gold and a thank-you letter-later, this letter fell into the hands of Yan Poxi, which led to the murder of Song Jiang.
Let's look at another letter ―― Wu used Cai Jing's forged Letter from Xiao Rang and Jin Dajian to his son Cai Jiuzhi to bid farewell to Song Jiang in Beijing.
As soon as this letter was taken away by Taibao Dai Zhong, Wu Yong repeatedly exclaimed that he had made a fatal mistake-the seal of "Hanlin Cai Jing" used on it was inappropriate, at least in four places-and in the letter from the father to his son, he used a seal only for official exchanges, which was a mistake; The seal used has father's name taboo and two mistakes; On the stamp is Cai Jing's position many years ago, three mistakes; The stamps are fresh, and at first glance there are problems and four mistakes.
Supposedly, with Wu Yong's wrist, there will be no such low-level mistakes, and there will be no flaws everywhere. Many people think that this mistake was deliberately made by Wu Yong, just to expose the flaw and let the magistrate Cai Jiu sentence Sung River in Jiangzhou.
Imagine that if there were no flaws in the letter, Song was escorted back to Beijing by people, and was easily robbed by Liangshan heroes on the way. Song Jiang will probably refuse to go to Liangshan because he still has illusions about the court; And if you want to be beheaded in Jiangzhou, Song Jiang was saved by many soldiers killed by Liangshan people, and he also lost his fantasy, leaving Liangshan as the only way out.
My feeling, judging from these details and analysis, these two letters about Song Jiang written by Wu Yong are fishy. Even if it can't be asserted that Wu forced Song Jiang to go up the mountain in this premeditated way, at least some people and things related to these two letters are suspicious.
People often say that Wu Yong is actually "useless" with the wrong stamp, but if these two letters are really used by him to force Song Jiang to go to Liangshan as analyzed above, then Wu Yong is not "useless", but useful and useful!
