Yuanmou Man Site is located on the mountainside about 500 meters north of Danawu Village, Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province, 7 kilometers away from the county seat. Yuanmou Man Fossil is one of the earliest human fossils discovered in China, which is officially referred to as "Homo erectus Yuanmou Man New Subspecies". Early Pleistocene animal fossils such as Yunnan horse, saber-toothed tiger and saber-toothed elephant were also unearthed in the site, and stone tools and carbon chips were made.

2. Piercing ancient human sites

The ancient human site in eastern Sichuan is located in the suburb of Puding County, 26 kilometers north of Anshun, Guizhou Province. It is the remains of ancient human life 16000 years ago, and it is the site of the late Paleolithic.

Two complete human skulls,18,000 mammal bones, more than 500 single teeth, and 13 animal fossils of genera or species have been excavated in this site. More than 20,000 stone products and 1000 bone products have been unearthed, among which bone cones are the most, as well as bone shovels, bone needles and bone rods. In addition, many fire remains have been found.

3. Lantian Man Site

Lantian Man Site and Early Paleolithic Cultural Site. Located in Gongwangling, east of Lantian County, Shaanxi Province 15 km, and Chenjiawo Village, northwest of Lantian County 10 km.

4. Hemudu Site

Hemudu Site is located in the northeast of Hemudu Village, Hemudu Town, Yuyao City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, about 20 kilometers away from Ningbo City. It is the site of the early Neolithic Age in southern China (about 7000-5000 years ago).

Hemudu site covers a total area of 40,000 square meters, with four cultural layers superimposed on each other. There are hundreds of thousands of pottery unearthed from Hemudu site, as well as a large number of precious cultural relics such as pottery, bone implements, stone tools, plant remains, animal remains and wooden building remains.

5. Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site

Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site, located in Gulong Mountain, Zhoukoudian, Fangshan District, Beijing, is an important Paleolithic site in China. 1927 started excavation, and three complete skulls and some residual bones were found in the cave, which is the discovery place of Peking man and Neanderthal fossils. Cavemen represent the types of new human beings more than 10,000 years ago, and are important physical materials for studying human evolution.
