The Historical Evolution of keshan town
Keshan town was called "Chahuoletun" in the early Qing Dynasty. Chakhole means "water stork" in Mongolian. Because there are big blisters in the southeast corner, the surrounding water plants are fat and beautiful, and water storks are in groups, hence the name.

In the late Qing Dynasty, a post station was set up, which was the third stop of Buhai (Buha-Helen) Road, so it was also called "three stops".

The name "Keshan" began in the early Republic of China. When Keshan Administrative Office was established, it was named "Keshan Administrative Office" after Kerketu Mountain (Erkeshan) in China, and the town name inherited the county name.

At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Keshan area was the hunting area of nomadic people such as Oroqen, Ewenki and Daur, which was under the jurisdiction of Busa.

Late Qing Dynasty 1906 (thirty-two years of Guangxu) was under the jurisdiction of Dongbuza.

1909 (the year of Xuantongyuan, Qing Dynasty), after the completion of the "Buhai Road", a third station was set up in today's keshan town, and the next year it was changed to the jurisdiction of Nehe Zhili Hall. Due to the increase of residents, industry and commerce have gradually emerged.

After the fall of Northeast China, 1933 established the county seat, and 1938 established Keshan Street.

1945 After the victory of "93" in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Keshan Street was divided into Area 1, Area 2 and Suburb in 1946.
