Shang Jun is the son of concubines, the monarch of Wei. His surname is Gongsun, and his ancestor's surname was Ji. When Gong Sunyang was young, he liked to study the names and spells of criminals, and when he was middle-aged, he served Wei's "xianggong" uncle Cuo. Uncle CuO knew his talent and didn't have time to recommend it to Wang Wei. Shortly after Gong Shucuo's death, Gong Sunyang heard that he ordered a nationwide talent search, trying to reorganize Qin Mugong's hegemony and recover the lost land in the East. He went to the state of Qin to rely on Jing Ke, Xiao Gong's favourite, to inquire for Xiao Gong.
