The Five Mountains refer to Mount Taishan in Dongyue, Huashan in Xiyue, Hengshan in Nanyue, Hengshan in Beiyue and Songshan in Zhongyue, which are the five famous mountains in the history of China. Xu Xiake, a traveler and geographer in Ming Dynasty, praised Huangshan Mountain twice.

Huangshan Mountain is famous for its "five wonders" of exotic pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs and winter snow, as well as "five victories" of historical relics, calligraphy and painting, literature, legends and celebrities. Known as "the first wonder mountain in the world", "the picture opens the sky" and "the sea of clouds is scattered". It is one of the top ten famous mountains in China, one of the ancient Taoist mountains and one of the most famous mountains in China.

Huangshan Mountain is divided into nine administrative regions: Hot Springs, Yungu, Yuping, Beihai, Songgu, Suspension Bridge, Fuxi, Yanghu and Fugu. There are 88 peaks above 1000 meters, among which Lotus, Guangming Top and Tiandu are the three main peaks of Huangshan, all of which are above 1.800 meters above sea level.
