Renaissance-The word Renaissance is taken from the French equivalent of the Italian word rinascita, which literally means "rebirth". It describes the thorough and comprehensive changes in European culture during the 15 and 16 centuries, which led to the demise of the Middle Ages and embodied the values of the modern world for the first time. The consciousness of cultural renaissance itself is a feature of the Renaissance. Italian scholars and critics in this period claimed that their time had surpassed the barbaric times of the past and found inspiration and the closest similarity in ancient Greek and Roman civilizations.
