The block characteristics of Cang Qiao Zhijie
Cang Qiao Zhijie is located in Yuewangcheng Historic District, east of Fushan. It is a historical and cultural block with the characteristics of an ancient city, with traditional folk houses as the main connotation and integrating residence, commerce and tourism. Cang Qiao Zhijie also won the "United Nations Asia-Pacific Heritage Protection Award", calling this old street "the living exhibition place of China's heritage". The old street is mainly composed of three parts: river, residential building and slate road. The mountains and rivers around the old street are important monuments of Yuewangcheng, which is located on the center line of the old street. It starts from Shengli West Road in the north and ends at Luxun West Road in the south, with a total length of 2.2 kilometers. From north to south, there are Cang Qiao, Longmen Bridge, Chongqing, Fuzhou Bridge, Shimen Bridge, Jiuwu Bridge, Xiguan Bridge and Huangyi Bridge in turn, which adds the flavor of water city. On both sides of the river, most of them were built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, including 43 platforms, reflecting the traditional architectural characteristics and customs of Shaoxing. There are many traditional shops and restaurants on both sides of the street. In order to let tourists know as much as possible about Shaoxing's local customs, the local government has also set up the Yue Art Museum, the Yellow Tavern, the Drama Museum and the Painting and Calligraphy Museum on the street.
