In the fourth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (107 1), Taizhou County Chief Qian Xuan developed a lake and turned it into a garden. Since the Song Dynasty, the East Lake has been rebuilt by Ling, especially in the 18th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1676) and the 10th year of Tongzhi (187 1). After being renovated twice by Taizhou Tusibao and Liu Ying, it became the first garden in Taizhou.
Named after the east side of Taizhou ancient city wall, it was originally the confluence of Baiyun Stream and Gong Shan Creek in the north of the city. In the fourth year of Song Xining (107 1), the county magistrate ordered Qian Xuan to dig a lake. The lake is divided into front lake and back lake, and there are continents in the lake. There are many pavilions on the mainland.
