Chaoyang District, Beijing covers an area of 470.8 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 34 meters, which is the largest area in the suburbs of Beijing. Including 23 sub-district offices and 20 townships.

Chaoyang District is located in the east of Beijing, bordering Dongcheng, Chongwen, Fengtai and Haidian District in the west, Changping and Shunyi in the north, County in the east and Daxing County in the south. The whole area is 470.8 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 34 meters. It is the largest area near Beijing. In 2003, there were 2.585 million permanent residents in the region, including 65.438 million registered residents and 928,000 migrants. There are 23 sub-district offices and 20 townships in this district.

19 area includes: Nanmofang area, Gaobeidian area, Jiang Tai area, Taiyanggong area, xiaohongmen area, shibalidian area, Sanjianfang area, Dongfeng area, Chang Ying area, Guanzhuang area, Sunhe area, Wangsiying area, Dongba area, Heizhuanghu area, Cuigezhuang area, Dougezhuang area, Jinzhan area, bungalow area and Lailai area.
