Chaoyang District is located in the east of Beijing, bordering Dongcheng, Chongwen, Fengtai and Haidian District in the west, Changping and Shunyi in the north, County in the east and Daxing County in the south. The whole area is 470.8 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 34 meters. It is the largest area near Beijing. In 2003, there were 2.585 million permanent residents in the region, including 65.438 million registered residents and 928,000 migrants. There are 23 sub-district offices and 20 townships in this district.

These 24 streets include Heping Street, Chaowai Street, Jinsong Street, Jianwai Street, Hujialou Street, Balizhuang Street, Sanlitun Street, Liulitun Street, Tuanjiehu Street, Shuangjing Street, Fatou Street, Zuojiazhuang Street, Xiaoguan Street, Jiuxianqiao Street, Capital Airport Street, Panjiayuan Street, Maidian Street and Xiangheyuan Street.
