When was Harbin Highway Bridge built?
Brief introduction of highway bridge in Daoli District of Harbin

The bridge is located between the bank of Songhua River on the south bank of Hetu Street in Daoli District and Qianjin Township in Daowai District on the north bank. It started in May 1983 and was completed in August 1986, with a total length of1565m. It is the first super-large permanent highway bridge built in Songhua River Basin. The bridge project is huge, with novel structure and scissors shape. It runs through national trunk lines such as Harbin, Heihe, Luobei and Manzhouli, and has become an important hub of highway transportation in Harbin and Heilongjiang Province, which has important strategic significance for prospering the economy and promoting exchanges, and is also a beautiful landscape in Harbin. Harbin Songhua River Highway Bridge is the first super-large highway bridge across Songhua River in our province since the founding of the People's Republic of China. The bridge project was completed and opened to traffic on September 20th 1986, and was delivered one year ahead of schedule. The completion of the bridge plays an important role in promoting the economy of our province and communicating the north-south traffic. In the three years since its opening to traffic, the bridge has been used well and won the first "Luban Award" in our province, which greatly encouraged all bridge builders.
