Experts successfully restored the murals of Li Yuan's tomb, and what impact did it have on landscape painting?
Recently, Shaanxi Institute of Archaeology restored the Taoist murals of Li Daojian, the great grandson of Tang Gaozu Li Yuan. This mural is very precious. It vividly shows the life scenes in the Tang Dynasty. This mural also reflects the tolerance and openness of the Tang Dynasty. One year after the death of Li Daojian and Wu Huifei, their tomb murals are very similar to the artistic style of Tianbao in Tang Dynasty compared with the stone carvings in Wu Huifei, which also provides valuable information for the historical research of Tang Dynasty.

The tomb of Tang Gaozu Li Yuan's great-grandson was discovered in 1994, and it was once destroyed, so it is very difficult to repair it. In addition to strengthening the back of the mural, new materials specially used to strengthen the white ash layer of the mural should be developed and tested during the restoration process.

There are murals on the tombs and walls, and the earliest landscape screen murals in the tombs of the Tang Dynasty have also been discovered. The ground seal of Li Daojian's tomb has been destroyed, because it has been stolen many times, and the funerary objects basically do not exist. There are only camel figures in the pottery figurines, and a box of earth epitaphs was found at the entrance of the tunnel. According to the contents of the epitaph, the tomb owner Li Daojian is the great-grandson of Li Yuan, his grandfather is Li Lingkui, and his father is Li Ai and Li Lingkui, the county kings? Few people have a good reputation, good temperament, good knowledge and good workers? And Li Wei? Quit being artistic and versatile, be kind and good at teaching, obey the court's training, and do a good job in the clinic early? His grandfather and father both had certain artistic attainments, but both died in the political struggle during the period of Wu Zetian, and Li Daojian also made state secretariat in many places. At that time, the Secretary of State was also a powerful leadership position. Many people will make profits for themselves after joining the company, but Li Daojian adheres to the principle and has always been honest and upright.

Through the restoration of the murals in Li Daojian's tomb, it also provides material and technical support for the subsequent protection and restoration of related murals. At the same time, we have a further understanding of the mural art in the Tang Dynasty, and also provide valuable information for the historical and cultural research of the Tang Dynasty.
