First of all, I wrote official history. Everything people say and do in the book is based on historical materials. On the controversial issues of archaeology and history, I mostly adopt the mainstream views of academia. If it is my own opinion, I will indicate it. If there is any fallacy, just refute it.
Secondly, this is a whole history. What I mainly want to rob is all the people and things that have a profound impact on today. This is not just a history of princes and princes, I hope it includes more aspects. Because in addition to treacherous regime change and endless wars, there are many people worth writing in our history, and there are many intriguing stories.
Thirdly, I try to gradually reveal the historical laws in the process of human development. But I promise, in a very popular and vivid way. If you open a book, such as History of Science and Technology in China and History of Western Political Thought, most of them will be confused by various nouns and obscure language. But I have a belief that truth is often very simple, and I hate the demonized truth. I will try my best to reveal some important laws in the simplest way. However, after all, I am just ignorant and have some shortcomings. I hope you will forgive me and welcome to correct me.
Fourth, excellent world history is mostly written by westerners, mostly from the perspective of westerners. In fact, it's no wonder that apart from their western-centered theory, I also believe that people who don't understand Chinese find it difficult to understand oriental culture. In my book, I will greatly increase the proportion of China history. So I call it A General History of China and the West. It is also convenient for everyone to look at the world with their familiar history of China as a reference.
Finally, I will write this whole history with time as the main line. Originally intended to use absolute chronological style, but later felt that it really affected the story telling, so it was changed to quasi-chronological style. I hope this is an effective way to look at the history of human development.
