Tumd Right Banner is located in the west of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in Hohhot, the capital of the autonomous region, in the hinterland of Baotou, the largest industrial city in the autonomous region, and in the "Golden Triangle" of Zhungeer coalfield in the middle of Tumochuan Plain, with a total area of 2,356.4km, a length of 74. 1 km from east to west and a width of 67.5km from north to south. Daqingshan District in the north and Tumochuan Plain in the south account for 25% and 75% of the total area of the flag respectively. This banner is bordered by Tuzuoqi in the east, Jiuyuan District in Baotou City in the west, Ordos City in the south by the Yellow River, and Guyang and Wuchuan County in the north. It governs 4 towns, 13 townships and 1 management committee. The total population of the flag is 340,000, including 290,000 agricultural people. It is a minority area with Mongolian as the main body and Han as the majority. Salaqi Town, the resident of Banner People's Government, is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Banner, and it is the only national pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns in the autonomous region determined by the State Commission for Economic Restructuring and other ministries and commissions.
