65438+ The Fifth Session of the Seventh National People's Congress was held in/kloc-0 from March 20th to April 3rd, 1992. The meeting adopted a resolution on the construction of the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River. 1994 12 14, the Three Gorges Project of the Yangtze River officially started. The Three Gorges Project is called the Yangtze Three Gorges Water Control Project. The whole project includes concrete gravity dam, sluice, hydropower station behind the dam, permanent lock and ship lift. The Three Gorges Project consists of a dam. Hydropower Station and navigation structure are composed of three parts. The dam crest is 3035 meters long and the dam height is 185 meters. Left bank 14, left bank 12, 26 * * meters, front row 700,000 kW small-wheel generator set, total installed capacity 1820 kWh, annual power generation of 84.7 billion kWh. Navigation structure is located on the left bank, and the permanent navigation structure is a double-line five-package continuous ship lock and an early-line first-class vertical ship lift.

The Three Gorges Project is divided into three phases with a total construction period of 18 years. The first phase lasts for 5 years (1992- 1997). In addition to the preparatory work, the main project includes the first-stage cofferdam filling and diversion open channel excavation. Construction of concrete longitudinal cofferdam, temporary lock on the left bank (120m high), permanent lock on the left bank, elevator and some stone dam sections on the left bank. The second phase of the project lasts for 6 years (1998-2003). The main task of the project is to build the second-stage cofferdam, power station facilities and the unit installation of the left bank dam, and at the same time continue and complete the construction of the permanent super-class lock and ship lift. The third phase of the project lasted for 6 years (2003-2009). At this stage, the right bank dam and power station were built, and the installation of all units continued. On May 20th, 2006, the Three Gorges Dam was completed, reaching the design elevation of185m.
