Yong 'an City in History
Zhuge Zhan was the only son of Zhuge Liang, and Zhuge Zhan died in Mianzhu while resisting Wargo's attack. So, after Zhuge Zhan's death, did Zhuge Liang have any descendants? Is it forever?

Zhuge Liang was a man of the hour in the Three Kingdoms period, especially after the death of Liu Bei. When Liu Chan, the son of Liu Bei, was young, Zhuge Liang alone provoked the military and political burden of Shu Han, developed production and joined the Northern Expedition, which had a far-reaching impact on the history of Shu Han and even the Three Kingdoms. However, as an intellectual, Zhuge Liang is strict with himself and leads an honest and clean life. Especially on the issue of marriage, he only married one wife and gave birth to a child, Zhuge Zhan.

Although there was another adopted son, Zhuge Qiao, he died at the age of 25, in front of Zhuge Liang. The adopted son does have a son, Zhuge Pan. However, because Zhu Gejin's son Zhuge Ke was killed, Zhu Gejin had no descendants. Later, Zhuge Pan went back and became a descendant of Zhu Gejin. Therefore, Zhuge Zhan can only be the only son of Zhuge Liang. In the late Shu-Han Dynasty, because of Zhuge Liang's popularity, Zhuge Zhan played an important role in the imperial court, and was in charge of the central affairs together with Dong Jue, equivalent to the prime minister.

However, Zhuge Zhan obviously does not have Zhuge Liang's ability. Before Mianzhu died, he lamented that he could not control Jiang Wei and Huang Hao. It can be seen from here that his ability to deal with government affairs is really limited. Zhuge Zhan not only has limited ability to handle government affairs, but also can't fight. Although he led troops to attack, he didn't talk about strategy and tactics at all. The businessman gave him a plan, but he didn't adopt it. But he still had some backbone, refused Wargo's surrender, killed the messenger of Wargo's surrender, and vowed to fight with Wargo to the death. Unfortunately, due to the disorganization, he was finally killed.

Zhuge Zhan had three sons in his life, and his eldest son, Zhuge Shang, accompanied his father to fight against Wargo. The history books say that he was well-read and proficient in martial arts since he was a child. Judging from the battle of Mianzhu, Zhuge Shang did have some skills. At that time, he was a striker in Zhuge Zhan. When Wargo sent his son Deng Zhong and general Bian Shi to attack Zhuge Shang, they were both defeated by Zhuge Shang. Unfortunately, Zhuge Zhan was defeated and died in the end. Zhuge Shang rushed into the enemy lines and died in a bloody battle.

There is also a saying that he committed suicide, but no matter how he died, he reflected Zhuge Shang's integrity and spirit. If Zhuge Liang knew better, Zhuge Liang would be happy to have such a grandson, although Zhuge Zhan was a disappointing son. Zhuge Zhan's second son is called Zhuge Jing. Zhu Gejin should have been young at that time, so he didn't go to war. Later, after Wargo defeated Zhuge Zhan, he went to Chengdu. Without any resistance, Liu Chan abandoned the city and surrendered. After Liu Chan surrendered, all members of the royal family and nobles were escorted to Luoyang, the capital of Wei.

The reason why they were sent to Luoyang was obviously that they were afraid that these people would stay where they were and make trouble, which was also the consistent practice at that time. Although there is no record in the history books about whether Zhuge Liang was on the escort trip, it should be said that he, as the grandson of Zhuge Liang and the son of Zhuge Zhan, is likely to be in the escort team.

Later, according to historical records, Zhu Gejin moved to Hanoi in 264. Four years later (268), Sima Yan asked if there were any capable people among the descendants of Shu Han and wanted to choose them as officials. After all, after all these years, these children of Shu Han have been obeying the rules. Sima Yan decided to use a group of such children from the perspective of winning people's hearts. So he asked Luo Xian.

This Luo Xian, originally from, guards Yong 'an City, the capital of East China. Yong 'an City is the gateway of Shu Han, and directly undertakes the heavy responsibility of resisting the invasion of Soochow. Because after being destroyed, Wargo was killed, and Zhong Hui and Jiang Wei were killed in an insurrection, the whole mess was beyond the reach of Wei, and Luo Xian became a no-man's land. In this case, Wu Dong took the opportunity to attack Yongan. However, Luo Xian resolutely refused to give in and took his soldiers to fight against Wu Dong's attack for half a year. Even if the city ran out of ammunition and food, and the plague prevailed, Luo Xian still held his ground. Later, when Sima Yan became emperor, he sent troops to help Luo Xian, who could go to Wei to see Sima Yan.

Sima Yan praised Luo Xian and named him Hou. Therefore, Luo Xian became the founding hero of the Western Jin Dynasty. So, Sima Yan trusted Luo Xian very much, so he asked about Luo Xian. At that time, Luo Xian recommended many people to Sima Yan, including Chen Shou and Zhu Gejin, the authors of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Zhuge Jing became an official and was made a county magistrate. He has done a good job in this place, and the government and the public have always praised him. Later, he was transferred to Jiangzhou secretariat, and he was also sitting on one side. As for the situation of Zhu Gejin's descendants, there is no record in history, and they may have survived or suffered disasters in the Yongjia Rebellion in the Western Jin Dynasty. It's hard to say.

Zhang Shu, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, also recorded that Zhuge Zhan had a son named Zhuge Zhi in his Story of the Collected Works of Zhuge Zhong and Wuhou. According to records, there was a son named, who was unwilling to surrender to Wei. He sent Zhuge Zhi to contact Meng Huo's son to borrow soldiers to resist. But then Liu Yao surrendered to Wei, and Zhuge Zhi did not come back, so he settled in a place like Nanyi. However, this matter is not recorded in the official history. (Reference:
