The New China No.1 Historical Archives is located at No.9 on the west side of Qinian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing.

The New China No.1 Historical Archives was opened to the public on July 6th, and the real-name registration system made an appointment to search the archives free of charge. There are 77 files of Ming and Qing Dynasties in the museum, and 44 electronic files of cases have been opened to the public, with nearly 4.7 million files.

At present, there are four theme exhibition halls in the museum, namely, centennial theme archives exhibition, Lantai Han Dynasty Spring and Autumn, Ming and Qing historical archives exhibition, Ming and Qing archives and equipment exhibition, safeguarding national memory and inheriting national context exhibition, and Ming and Qing archives development exhibition.

Established in 1925, China No.1 Historical Archives is a national archives at the central level, which is responsible for the collection and management of archives formed by central institutions in Ming and Qing dynasties.

The First Historical Archives of New China is a modern comprehensive archives which integrates the preservation, protection, utilization, display, research, academic exchange and patriotic education of Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the new museum is officially opened to the outside world, the audience can feel the unique charm of ancient civilization and see the century-old historical features.
