The Origin of Lanxi Mao Feng Tea
Lanxi Mao Feng tea is a kind of precious green tea, which is produced in Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province. Lanxi Mao Feng tea was initiated by a tea farmer named Zhou Guangzu in Lanxi in the early 20th century.

According to legend, Zhou Guangzu participated in the Tea-making Skills Competition held in Zhejiang Province on 1902, and won the championship with his exquisite skills and innovative ideas in tea-making technology. Zhou Guangzu's victory also created the history of Lanxi Mao Feng tea.

The name of Lanxi Mao Feng Tea comes from its tea leaves, buds and white fluff. The selection process of this kind of tea is quite strict. Only two leaves and 1 buds are selected to make tender tea. After complex processes such as enzyme fixation, rolling and baking, it can become Maofeng tea with green color and rich aroma.

Lanxi Mao Feng tea, as a kind of high-quality tea, is very popular and was once selected as Chongqing tribute tea by 1935. Today, Lanxi Mao Feng tea has become a famous high-grade tea in China.
