Gauchos is a mixed race, formed by the long-term combination of Indians and Spaniards, and has retained more Indian cultural traditions. His language is Spanish and his religion is Catholicism.

Gaucho is similar to the "cowboy" in North America. Their main economic activity is grazing. Accustomed to immediate life, he was brave and strong, and played an important role in the Latin American War of Independence at the beginning of the19th century.
