Content of postgraduate entrance examination and reexamination of modern world history in Beijing Normal University

The re-examination content includes written examination of specialized courses (100)+ oral English listening (20)+ interview of specialized courses (120), with a full score of 240. Those whose total retest score is lower than 144 are unqualified and will not be accepted. Candidates' total score = initial test score+retest score. All re-examination qualified candidates are sorted by major according to their total scores, and they are admitted from high to low. The elimination rate of re-examination is as high as 60%-70%.

The written test questions of specialized courses include noun explanation and essay questions.

The oral English listening test takes 7- 10 minutes, so you can have a direct English conversation with the teacher. Including self-introduction (2-3 minutes), professional questions. Professional problems will involve problems in the selected direction. For example, if you choose the direction of modern history, the teacher will ask you which events in modern history you are interested in. Candidates are advised to collect relevant English historical materials in advance. English test generally does not affect the admission of candidates.

Professional course interview. Interview method: If the quota is 4, but 12 candidates may enter the interview. Divide 12 candidates into 4 groups, each group has 3 people PK, and each group accepts 1 candidates.

Questions include:

(1) English noun explanation (5 points out of 20), I suggest you look at Palmer's English translation of Modern World History. (2) List the monographs you have read (at least 5 books). Note that popular reading is not a monograph. The modern history of the world should be mainly related to the history of Britain and France.

(3) Choose a book you have read and talk about your opinion.

(4) Choose one of the seven essay questions for analysis and discussion. Tutors will ask candidates for answers. Examine candidates' logical thinking ability and generalization ability.
