Guangdong Huizhou historical and cultural information
According to Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals, Baiyue has an ancient kingdom of Lou, and the Atlas of Chinese History of Warring States, edited by Professor Tan Qixiang, also indicates in detail the bounded country of Lou in Boluo County, but there is no physical evidence to prove its existence. This time, bronze bells and ding were unearthed from the tomb, and the aristocratic atmosphere of "ringing bells to eat" reflected by other unearthed objects in the tomb indicates that there may have been an ancient country here. Another strong evidence is that the tombs are arranged neatly according to their rank and status. Noble tombs are basically located halfway up the mountain and above the ridge, and large bronzes are mainly unearthed here, while civilian tombs are basically concentrated at the foot of the mountain. To some extent, this reflects that these ancestors lived in a fairly complete social organization and established a hierarchical social system. These discoveries, together with a series of archaeological discoveries in Boluo, Zengcheng and other places since the early 1990s, provide very important information for finding and restoring the Tielou State in the pre-Qin period.
