Shiyan, an ancient Yunyang, has a long history and splendid culture. According to the archaeological discovery of Qinglong Spring in Yunxian County, as early as the Neolithic Age, this area had Yangshao culture, Longshan culture and Qujialing culture at the same time, which was the intersection of the three ancient cultures in China. In the pre-Qin period, there were elk country, Yong country and Twist country, and in the Warring States period, it belonged to Chu State.
