The legend of Hoh Xil
I mean, there are two moons in Hoh Xil. It is precisely because a noble soul was placed there that a beautiful legend came into being. This is an essay topic written by a middle school girl in Golmud. She wrote, one moon hangs in the night sky in Hoh Xil, and the other moon is in the Chumar River, which is the seed sown by the sun; A herdsman named Dejidawa also told me that there is indeed a big, round and bright red moon on the Chumar River. Sonanda Jay saw it with her own eyes in the sheepfold the night she died. The red moon was dormant in the whirlpool, dragged out by the call of Tibetan antelope and hung on the top of the snow-capped mountain.

All the beautiful legends in the world are full of people's deep affection and good wishes. In Tibet, the moon is a symbol of purity, true love and peace. Anywhere in Tibet, you will meet many people named Zhuo Ma and Dawa. In Tibetan, Zhuo Ma is the sun and Dawa is the moon. The sun is warm and the moon tastes perfect.

There is a legend of two beautiful moons in Hoh Xil, which is a sincere compliment to Sister Sonam who gave her precious life to protect Tibetan antelopes, and also a good wish for everyone to pray for the safety of Tibetan antelopes. Hoh Xil is a paradise for wild animals, especially the last habitat of Tibetan antelope, a rare animal in the world.

The word Hoh Xil means "mysterious girl" or "beautiful girl" in Mongolian. It is an alpine platform spanning Qinghai, Tibet and Xinjiang provinces, with an area of 45,000 square kilometers and an average elevation of more than 4,500 meters. It is the most ideal living place for Tibetan antelopes, with the largest number of Tibetan antelopes, reaching 654.38+0.5 million. Since18th century, Europe, America, India and other countries have regarded a shawl called "shahtoosh" as a symbol of identity and wealth, which has brought disaster to Tibetan antelopes. The hair of Tibetan antelope is the only raw material for making "shahtoosh". The number of Tibetan antelopes in Hoh Xil once dropped sharply to less than 50,000. In Britain, the highest price of a "shahtoosh" shawl can reach 50,000 dollars. It is said that Napoleon once gave his mistress Josephine a "shahtoosh" shawl. Josephine likes it very much. She ordered many pieces at once. There is an inevitable causal relationship between the increase in the price of "shahtoosh" in the international market and the decrease of Tibetan antelopes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

1994 During this period, Tibetan antelopes in Hoh Xil were madly hunted by poachers, and Sonam Dajie stopped the continuation of this nightmare with his own life. It is because of his resounding name that the distant and lonely Hoh Xil is famous all over the world. Sonam Dajie is the deputy secretary of Zhiduo County Committee of Qinghai Province and the general manager of Hoh Xil Economic Development Company. He led five mountain patrol members to patrol Hoh Xil for many years to protect Tibetan antelopes. They suffered from cold, hunger, misunderstanding, intimidation and revenge, but they never backed down. 1994 65438+1October 18, which was a black day in the history of Hoh Xil. Sister Sonam and two mountain patrol members escorted nearly 2,000 Tibetan antelope cars and 18 suspects to Golmud. At night, people and cars took a nap by the moon lake, and the criminals suddenly resisted unexpectedly. They threatened Sonam Dajie to disarm. Sister Sonam rose up and was outnumbered. After he was shot in the abdomen, he was still on his knees, aiming his gun at the criminal.

The moment Sonam triumph fell into Moon Lake, the Tibetan antelope panicked like losing its spine and fled everywhere. The hero's blood will not flow in vain. Sonam's immortal gesture of kneeling at the last moment of her life awakened many people with conscience to sleep. Despite the opposition of all relatives and friends, his brother-in-law, Zabadojie, resolutely resigned as the deputy director of the Political and Legal Committee of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and went to Hoh Xil to inherit his brother's unfinished business and set up an armed anti-poaching team. Soon, Sonandajie Nature Reserve in Hoh Xil was established. Then, a 20-meter-high monument to Sonam Street stands at the Kunlun Pass. The granite tablet reads "Gongga Kunlun, with a long sound". People have fully integrated the reverence and love for this hero into the protection of Tibetan antelopes. Since the last summer of the last century, volunteers have trekked from all over the country to Hoh Xil to stand guard for Tibetan antelopes. Volunteers go up the mountain in batches, each batch 10 for one month. Volunteers wrote a story about protecting Tibetan antelopes with loyalty and courage.

Not far from Sonandaje Nature Reserve, there is a tall watchtower. Under the tower is a natural stone beach. There are hundreds of stones of different sizes and shapes. The big one can lie on the cow, and the small one can sit on the person. These ordinary stones suddenly shine with brilliance because of the existence of volunteers. When they first came to Hoh Xil, they wrote their vows on a stone, and when they left, they carved messages on the stone. There are also many tourists who travel to Tibet and write a few words on the stone when passing through Sonandajie Nature Reserve. These short and beautiful words on the stone are all related to Sonam Street. Over time, this stone beach has become the "New Forest of Steles" of Hoh Xil and a new landscape on the Qinghai-Tibet Line. Among them, Hoh Xil: a mysterious place, a lovely hometown; "Always be the patron saint of Tibetan antelope"; "The earth is our home, and happiness depends on everyone"; "We don't want to relive the gentleness of Mother Earth only online"; "Our efforts are to flow to the future"; "Do your best to restore the mother river"; "Pushing away the cold may use my strength; Melt the ice and snow, maybe you can use my heat "and so on. These "inscriptions" are like small stars shining on the heights of the wasteland. The moon and the stars shine in Hoh Xil. Of all these "inscriptions", perhaps the most interesting one is this one: "There are two moons in Hoh Xil, one in the sky and the other in the Chumar River. She is Sonam's elder sister, and she is a soldier in Beijing!
