According to the inquiry of Land Treasure, China Economic Information Society, China Information Association and China Urban Planning and Design Institute jointly issued the Report on Digital Governance of China City (2020). This is the first time that domestic research institutions have investigated the level of urban development from the perspective of digital governance index. According to the report, Wuhan ranks fifth in the country, ahead of central and western cities. The report analyzes the top 100 cities in GDP in 20 19 from four dimensions: digital infrastructure, digital administrative services, digital public services and digital life services. Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Dongguan and Xi 'an ranked in the top ten. Wuhan entered the top five, thanks to its high attention to digital development. In recent years, Wuhan has moved more and more services to the digital platform, from living expenses, electronic documents, social security accumulation fund to transportation. Wuhan is also trying to use digital means to improve the governance capacity of megacities and solve problems such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution and population agglomeration. During the epidemic period, the city launched a digital "war epidemic", relying on "Hubei Office" and "Hubei Health Code", which reduced the personal contact in the process of handling paper passes and repeatedly filling in health information. With the development of digital economy, digitalization has extended from the field of public services to all aspects of urban governance in Wuhan.
