It is said that in the past, fish and shrimp used to swim in shallow water more than one meter deep. In order to prevent the sea from flooding their heads, the ancestors of the Jing nationality invented the traditional stilt fishing. However, with the development of modern fishery, this traditional skill is on the verge of disappearing. At present, only five villagers in Dongxing have passed it down and turned it into a performance for tourists to enjoy and experience.

At Dongxing Port, a large amount of seafood is imported from Vietnam every day and sold to the whole country through mutual trade.
