History of Adabora Elephant Turtle
Elephant turtles are just one of the longest-lived animals on earth. The average life span of Adabola elephant turtles is thought to be over 200 years old, but this is difficult to prove because they often live longer than observers. It is said that Edvita was a gift from Seychelles to Robert Robert Clive by the British East India Company in18th century, and came to Kolkata Zoo in 1875. In March 2006, it died in Kolkata Zoo, India. It is said that Adevita is the longest turtle in history. He died at the age of 255 (born in 1750).
