History of Shanquan Temple
We visited all the way and learned that this mountain spring temple has a history of 1500 years. After such a long time, what kind of past does Shanquan Temple have?

According to historical records, Yixing Mountain Spring Temple was built in 480 AD, and Qi Jianyuan, the hometown of Zhu Yingtai in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, was two years old. Caves used to be produced by temples. Mr. Chu Nanqiang first bought the property right of Dongshan from the monks, and then renovated it. This gave Shanjuan Cave a halo of Buddha Cave. Shanjuan Temple was taboo and Hou Xiaobao Juan, and it was renamed as Quan from Juan, which is still in use today.

General Li Kun of the Tang Dynasty, our emissary of the times, redeemed the good rights from his own pocket. Li Gang, Prime Minister of Song Dynasty, renovated Shanquan Temple; Zengbo Li, a great scholar in Song Dynasty, studied in Shanquan Temple. Shanquan Temple became a sacred place for ancient people to learn. In ancient times, many champions and prime ministers visited Shanjuan Cave. Fang Ce, the abbot of Shanquan Temple in Ming Dynasty, also carved a stone and erected a monument, which was named "Records of Ancient and Modern Shanquan Temple", and was prefaced by Wang Hao, a famous imperial minister, and Wen Zhiming, a painter. At that time, Shanquan Temple "Tangdian" and "Lei Shu" were famous all over the world.

There once lived a monk in Shanquan Temple. They were both Lin Jizong and exorcists in Cao Dongzong. For example, a fellow monk in Yulin, who was named "Pu Ji Neng Ren exorcist" by the emperor shunzhi, is the abbot of Shanquan Temple.

However, because the later monk Bai Song was a bully, this aroused the dissatisfaction of the local people, and eventually triggered a conflict. The mountain spring temple was set on fire and the monk Bai Song was also burned to death. There was a story of "burning the Red Lotus Temple" in history. This is the early years of Kangxi. Shanquan Temple was finally destroyed by Japanese invaders in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Only the "Huazangmen" is left. The present Shanquan Temple was rebuilt in 1992. Mr. Zhao Puchu, then president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, inscribed the temple name plaque. In the 1980s, the famous calligrapher Xiao Xian wrote a couplet for Shanquan Temple:

Four generations became positive, and Lin Ji pushed the giants;

Full of wishes, good strength and scorched earth will be restored to China.

In the Ming Dynasty, Shanquan Temple built a "Tongyuan Pavilion", which was mainly dedicated to Master Guanyin. The present Tong Yuan Pavilion was rebuilt in 2000.

Guanyin Bodhisattva is the embodiment of compassion and salvation. The world is getting worse, and people's hearts are not ancient. As you sow, you reap; as you sow, you reap; as you sow, you reap. Is it stupid to realize this? The 53 Avatars of Avalokitesvara are just billions of Avatars of Avalokitesvara, but sincerity is spiritual.

There is an 8.8-meter-high Guanyin in the museum. There are 32 hanging carvings in incarnation color behind the statue, and there are 53 hanging carvings of Guanyin purple sand around it. Hanging sculptures are lifelike and have high aesthetic value. It was made by China Zisha master Xu Xiutang, and is now recognized as "the first in China" and "the first in the world".
