Approved by the Ministry of Labor and Personnel, the School of History and Culture of Northeast Normal University set up a postdoctoral mobile station in history, and began to receive postdoctoral researchers in 2004. At present, the post-doctoral majors accepted by this website include: world history, history theory and historiography, ancient history of China, modern history of China, special history, etc. Welcome domestic and foreign scholars to apply for the exam.

The College of History and Culture of Northeast Normal University is the first batch of national key construction units of the 2 1 1 project, with the right to award doctoral degrees in first-class disciplines, a national key discipline (world history), a national liberal arts base and a key research base of the history of world civilization of the Ministry of Education, and seven master's programs (world history, ancient history of China, modern history of China, special history, historical geography, historical theory and history, archaeology). In the past five years, the teachers of the School of History and Culture have presided over 27 national major social science projects, national key research projects and national Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties dating projects, published more than 40 academic monographs, and published more than 60 papers on historical research, world history, China history research, historical theory research, American studies and Japanese periodicals. Some papers have aroused great repercussions in foreign academic circles. At present, the School of History and Culture has established close academic exchanges with Tokyo University, Sōka Gakkai University, Columbia University, Ohio State University, University of Wisconsin, University of California, Northridge, University of London, Birmingham University, university of alberta, and the History Department of the University of Hong Kong.
