The bronze mask is an ancient mask. It has been unearthed in many places in China with different shapes. Among them, it is mainly divided into bronze masks of Yin Shang Dynasty and Sanxingdui masks. The bronze mask unearthed in Sanxingdui has a history of more than 3000 years, which reflects the ancient Shu ancestors' understanding and thinking about all things in nature and the world of man and god.
The largest and most well-preserved large bronze mask unearthed at the site of 202 1 Sanxingdui is the bronze mask unearthed at Sacrificial Pit No.3, which is1cm wide, 7 1cm high, 66cm deep and weighs 13 1cm. Broad and angular, eyebrows, eyes, lips and other lines are smooth, protruding from the face. Long and thick eyebrows are raised, and there are square perforations on both sides of the mask and in the middle of the forehead, which may be fixed.
